Dr. Christos Baxevanis Noble Nomination

2 min read

It is with great honour and joy that we announce that Christos Baxevanis, a distinguished member of our Imperial & Royal Macedonian Empire House, has been bestowed with the noble rank of Epimeletes, a title of high esteem and duty. Epimeletes means “curator” or “supervisor” in ancient Greek, and it was the appellation of various officials in ancient Athens and other Greek polities.

The rank of Epimeletes is most fitting for Christos Baxevanis, who has exhibited remarkable talents and devotion in managing and overseeing various projects and affairs of our House. He has also shown a profound knowledge and admiration of our Macedonian heritage and culture, which traces its origins back to the splendid era of Alexander the Great.

Alexander the Great was the son of King Philip II of Macedon, who united the Greek states under his leadership and launched a campaign against the Persian Empire. Alexander succeeded his father in 336 BC, and continued his father’s mission of expanding the Macedonian Empire across Asia and Africa. He conquered Persia, Egypt, and parts of India, spreading Greek culture and civilization along the way. He was one of the greatest military commanders and rulers in history, and his legacy influenced many aspects of the Hellenistic world and beyond.

By conferring Christos Baxevanis the rank of Epimeletes, we acknowledge his achievements and contributions to our House, and we entrust him with the task of preserving and promoting our Macedonian identity and values. We also celebrate his connection to Alexander the Great, who was also an Epimeletes of the mysteries of Eleusis, a sacred religious initiation that symbolized the cycle of life and death.

We congratulate Christos Baxevanis on his noble rank, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours. We are proud to have him as a member of our Imperial & Royal Macedonian Empire House.
