Dr. Michail Sanidas Noble Nomination

2 min read

We are overjoyed to announce that Michail Sanidas, a distinguished member of our Imperial & Royal Macedonian Empire House, has been conferred with the noble rank of Philos, a title of great esteem and affection. Philos means “beloved” or “dear” in ancient Greek, and it was the name of the closest friends and companions of Alexander the Great, the most illustrious ancestor of our House1

The rank of Philos is most appropriate for Michail Sanidas, who has shown remarkable loyalty and devotion to our House. He has also exhibited a deep understanding and respect of our Macedonian heritage and culture, which traces its origins back to the glorious era of Alexander the Great.

Alexander the Great was the son of King Philip II of Macedon, who united the Greek states under his leadership and launched a campaign against the Persian Empire2 Alexander succeeded his father in 336 BC, and continued his father’s mission of expanding the Macedonian Empire across Asia and Africa. He conquered Persia, Egypt, and parts of India, spreading Greek culture and civilization along the way. He was one of the greatest military commanders and rulers in history, and his legacy influenced many aspects of the Hellenistic world and beyond345

By bestowing Michail Sanidas the rank of Philos, we acknowledge his achievements and contributions to our House, and we entrust him with the task of preserving and promoting our Macedonian identity and values. We also celebrate his connection to Alexander the Great, who was the leader and inspiration of the Philoi, the beloved ones who shared his vision and destiny6

We congratulate Michail Sanidas on his noble rank, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours. We are proud to have him as a member of our Imperial & Royal Macedonian Empire House.
